The Little Tech Association (“LTA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates littletech.org (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.

By using the Site or submitting information to us, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

When you submit a membership application, join our mailing list, or contact us, we may collect:

• Information about your company, product, or policy interests that you choose to share

When you visit the Site, our hosting provider and standard web infrastructure may automatically collect:

• With your direction. Where you have asked us to — for example, when we list a member organization publicly or include a signatory on a public letter.

Public letters, coalition sign-ons, and member listings are published on the Site with the participating organization’s knowledge and consent.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy.

• Membership application data is retained for the duration of membership and for a reasonable period afterward for recordkeeping.

• Mailing list data is retained until you unsubscribe.

• Inquiry correspondence is retained for a reasonable period after the matter is resolved.

We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed, subject to legal retention requirements.

You may contact us at any time to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to unsubscribe from our communications.

You have the right to:

• Know what categories of personal information we collect, use, and disclose

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA and CPRA, and we have not done so in the preceding twelve months.

• Request erasure (the “right to be forgotten”)

• Restrict or object to processing

• Withdraw consent at any time

LTA is based in the United States, and information we collect is processed and stored in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers of personal information from the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no industry standard for responding to these signals, and the Site does not currently respond to them.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated by email to members or through a notice on the Site.
